San Stefanos is a beautiful resort, surrounded by a very green and fertile countryside, with rolling hills, covered in olive groves. Ideal for both relaxing, and pleasant walks to neighbouring villages and resorts.

San Stefanos beach is about a kilometer in length, nice and wide, with gently shelving sand, no pebbles, making it safe for bathing. With several islands out to sea, and the mountains of Albania making a wonderful back drop, the views are outstanding. It is probably the best beach on the island, and with being so big it is never crowded. Sun beds and umbrellas are available, or just take a mat. There are water sports, paragliding, canoes, pedeloes in high season. Beach bars, a canteen for drinks and snacks, make for very pleasant days in the sun.

There are many restaurants, all of a good standard, with varied menus, catering for all tastes. The bars vary, with traditional and modern, some opening until very late. In most of the bars and restaurants prices compare very favorably with other resorts and you will find it noticeably cheaper to holiday here.

The local bus to Corfu Town goes through Avliotes and Sidari. The former being a typical Corfiot small town, only a short distance away, and is well worth a visit. It is not spoiled by tourism and retains the look of an unchanging world. With friendly bars and taverna’s to refresh, several hours can be spent exploring. Sidari is a bigger and livelier resort, quite different in most respects.
